Original music by Étienne Meyer performed on ancient instruments
Paris, 1950: Pascal, a 6-year-old toddler, releases a red balloon attached to a streetlamp. This balloon begins to follow him everywhere he goes, thus becoming his friend. This astonishing complicity arouses the curiosity, then the jealousy of the older ones, who, trying in vain to appropriate this tamed balloon, end up bursting it …
Between humor and sensitivity, this magnificent cinematographic tale, delicately underlined here by the musical composition of Étienne Meyer, is a call to travel in a poetic and dreamlike universe. You will come out enchanted.
Duration 45mn. For the whole family, from age 3 years upward
A “ballon de rouge”, i.e. a glass of red wine, will be offered to adults at the exit of the public performance for a friendly moment in the company of the artists.

This is a love vaudeville told in music, not once… but four times in a row, in French, Spanish, English and Italian! For each version, the characters and music will be in tune with the nation evoked using rare works, full of charm and rarely devoid of humor… Four countries, but also four tastes: Andrea Gaia, chef of the gourmet restaurant Le Roc at the Hôtel de Rougemont, has composed a specific menu to illustrate each scene of this show in terms of taste. Bitterness, acidity, saltiness and sweetness will be put at the service of the story. A taste journey in the baroque musical space-time that the audience will appreciate not only with their eyes and ears but also with their palate.

EXHIBITIONS
SAINT-NICOLAS CHURCH, ROUGEMONT
24th MAY–22nd JUNE 2025
Cluny #tousconnectés : Journey from Cluny to Rougemont
Cluny #tousconnectés is an exhibition imagined and produced by the Association of the Payerne Abbey Site in 2023 with the aim of promoting and highlighting the network of Cluniac sites, particularly Swiss sites. It was produced by the exhibition curators Anne-Gaëlle Villet and Karina Queijo in the context of the candidacy of Cluny and the Cluniac sites, including Payerne and Rougemont, for UNESCO World Heritage status. It aims to introduce the public to the mother abbey of Cluny, as well as its exceptional medieval network which extends throughout Europe. It focuses on the nine Swiss Cluniac monasteries.
Initially created for the site of the Abbey of Payerne, this exhibition was intended to travel to other partner sites participating in the UNESCO candidacy. This was made possible in 2024 when the exhibition was presented in Cluny itself (at the Farinier, July 9 to November 10). It will therefore travel again and this time to the church of Saint-Nicolas de Myre in Rougemont to be presented as part of the Festival La Folia from May 24 to June 22, 2025. The arrival of this exhibition in Rougemont is the result of a collaboration between the Festival La Folia, the Adhesion Group of the Church of Rougemont to UNESCO Heritage and the Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut Natural Park.
Free admission without registration during the opening hours of the church (excluding the hours of concerts).

25 YEARS OF FOLIA IN PICTURES
Patrick Charbon, official photographer of La Folia since 2009, wanted to take advantage of this anniversary year to remind us – in pictures – of the highlights of each of the previous editions of the festival. We will relive, through his most beautiful photos, all the intensity of the rehearsals, the euphoria of the concerts, but also the backstage of the Festival and the details of the last 24 programs. An opportunity to remember all the wonderful artists who have made the walls of the Saint-Nicolas church of Rougemont resonate!
It will take place in the lobby of the Hôtel de Rougemont.
Free entry during the hotel’s opening hours
